We went behind the scenes to see how one of Wurstkuche’s sausage suppliers make their brats. Guess what? It isn’t that gross (and smelled so good).
this thing is supposed to focus around food. well here’s something a little different.
I’ve been working at my school’s radio station, KXLU (88.9 FM Los Angeles) this past year as Asst. Production Director and engineer. Since I’ve started there last October, I’ve engineered or helped engineer around 40 live on-air sessions, and it has been an amazing experience. I’ve gotten to meet a lot of great new people, artists, and artists; as well as some not so great ones.
This next year, I will be taking over as Production Director, which means I will be working on plenty more sessions and will be exposed to loads of great new music. I’ve decided that since this year is over, production-wise, I’ll start, next year, posting recordings (video if I can) of each session I engineer, whether I like it or not. It will not only help me start posting more, but will also help expose others to new artists and their music (bonus: in a live element!).
Many many many many thanks to Jon, who has been valuable mentor and pal this past year. He’s set quite the example.
So to start things off, I’ll post a link to the website where you can find live videos of most of the sessions I’ve worked on this past year:
I’m not going to tell you it’s all “good,” but if you like something you see/hear, I’d be glad to know.
Some of our other recordings have somehow ended up here:
Thanks KXLU for an awesome year and I hope next year is just as great.
TL;DR - I’m posting videos of each live session I work on at KXLU. It doesn’t matter if it’s “good” by my standards.
