Spent the weekend in a workshop with Eddie Kramer. Funny guy, fairly easy to work with. Just stay on your shit, or you’ll get shafted.
7x7’s Big Eat Checklist for 2012. Hope Boba Guys can make it in the 2013 edition.
Next on the San Francisco to-do list.
It’s upgrade week over here.
I’m still not convinced. But hey, I still use 8.
The whole “THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS REGIONS ANYMORE” is… weird. Though the individual clip volume is a nice touch… seeing as EVERY OTHER DAW HAS IT.
And don’t get me started on how dickish the phasing out (barely. more like “ripping the rug out from under people”) plugin formats thing is. “LOLZ, SORRY YOU SPENT 15 GRAND ON A TDM SYSTEM! MORON!”
Yeah the plugin business is a load of bull - can’t understand why any business would alienate their client base like that. I hopped on 9 mostly for the open interface availability since I didn’t have any digi gear. And then 10 for the mostly lighter processing load, but the channel strip and clip based gain is a nice touch. All my RTAS stuff still works though so far…
